Clear ground rules for using this website and receiving online counseling from Mend The Root. Please read carefully; booking or using the site means you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance
By accessing mendtheroot.com or booking services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the website or services.
2. Services
Mend The Root provides online counseling/psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. Services are not medical or psychiatric treatment and do not include prescribing medication or emergency response. For urgent help, dial 112 or use the helplines on the Crisis page first.
3. Eligibility
- Adults (18+): may book directly.
- Adolescents (<18): require verified parent/guardian consent and the minor’s assent before starting therapy.
4. Online sessions
- Sessions are conducted by encrypted video/voice platforms. Join from a private, stable connection.
- Recording sessions is not permitted without mutual written consent.
- If there is a technical failure, we will attempt reconnection or reschedule.
5. Scheduling, fees, cancellations
- Standard session length: ~50 minutes (unless agreed otherwise).
- Fees are communicated in advance and payable before the session (e.g., UPI/bank transfer).
- Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice or the full fee may apply. No-shows are billable at the full fee.
- Late arrivals may shorten the session to keep schedule integrity.
6. Client responsibilities
- Attend from a private setting, remain sober, and communicate respectfully.
- Provide accurate information and share safety concerns promptly.
- Use recommended crisis services when at immediate risk.
7. Privacy & confidentiality
Your information is confidential with legal/safety limits. Please read our Privacy Policy for details on data handling, security, and your choices.
8. Records & data
- We maintain minimal records needed for care and safety.
- Records are stored with reasonable security measures and retained only as long as necessary to meet service and legal/ethical duties.
9. Intellectual property
All original site content (text, graphics, logo) is owned by Mend The Root or used with permission. You may not reproduce or distribute materials without consent. Third-party resources are © their owners and used under their stated permissions.
10. External links
We link to external resources (e.g., WHO, NHS). We are not responsible for their content, availability, or terms. Use them according to the owners’ licenses and policies.
11. No warranties
Services and website are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Therapy outcomes are not guaranteed.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mend The Root is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or services, including outages or technical disruptions.
13. Governing law & forum
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of Telangana.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will appear here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
